Serbia off to Beijing!

Serbia beat Spain in the final of the European Qualification in 5 and has qualified for the Beijing Olympic Games.

Mendez to coach Spain

Marcelo Mendez is the new coach of Spain. An Argentime with a lot of experience, takes over from Anastasi who has been clled back to coach the recent out of form Italian team.

In a sensational development ahead of the men’s World Cup, Spain have lost their EuropeanChampionship-winning head coach, Andrea Anastasi.

Spain set to cause trouble at the World Cup

After their 3-2 win against Russia at the European Championships, Spain secured a berth in the 2007 World Cup. Had they lost this match, they would have relied on a wildcard (which seemed to have already been given to Bulgaria) as they were ranked 24th, the lowest of the second place getters at the Continental Champs. read more from the World Cup Site.
