Brazil Fourth and Fifth in the world…but not good enough for Beijing

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

It’s a tough gig, the Olympics. With only two pairs allowed from each country, there are some mighty fine players who miss out. Pedro Salgado & Harley Marques, and Pedro Cunha & Franco Neto all from Brazil are currently the 4th and 5th ranked pairs in the world respectively. Unfortunately for them the top 2 teams in the world are also from Brazil. So if Olympic qualification was taken now, these teams would miss out. Tough gig being a Brazilian Beach Volleyball player.
