Phuket Beach Volley Open Results Round 1

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Here are the results from Round one of the Main draw at the Phuket Open. Looks like there were some interesting matches. Top seeded Americans Walsh and May-Treanor were pushed to three sets by Ukraine 32 seeded pair. Second seeded Chinese Tian Jia and Wang were also taken to three by popular Japanese team Asao and Take. A tough first round opponent for the much loved Japanese pair, they would have had a lot of support in Thailand. The big upset of the day was Keizer and De-Vries of the Netherlands, the 30th seed and qualifiers, knocking over the 3rd seeded Chinese pair to advance in the winners bracket.
