THE Chinese women’s volleyball team looks to have recovered its form just in time for its Olympic title defense after beating Cuba six times in a row in friendlies over the last two weeks.
After winning the gold medal in Athens, China suffered injuries to key players, including Zhao Ruirui, who was injured well before the Athens Games in 2004, and Feng Kun and a loss of form.
It finished fifth at the 2006 world championships and missed out on the Asian title last year for first time in more than two decades.

It is really a pity that the Chinese ladies didn’t do better in their own home country. Let’s hope they can regroup and get better for London. Surely they will have a lot of retirements along the way, there were still a few old players left. I don’t know what they are going to be without Feng. ahhh.
