Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh will have an opportunity to tie the team record for most SWATCH-FIVB World Tour gold medals while Nicole Branagh will be seeking her first international Beach Volleyball title with Elaine Youngs after both American tandems won semi-final matches here Saturday afternoon in the US$200,000 Phuket Thailand Open powered by ptt.  The top-seeded May-Treanor and Walsh advanced to their 40th SWATCH gold medal match by posting a 21-17 and 21-16 win in 35 minutes over 14th-seeded Rieke Brink-Abeler and Hella Jurich of Germany, who were appearing in their first ever international Beach Volleyball semi-final.  The fourth-seeded Branagh and Youngs finished play Saturday with a 21-17 and 21-17 win in 46 minutes over second-seeded Jia Tian and Jie Wang of China as the semi-final matches were played in a constant rain on Karon Beach. more FIVB
